We all know that freight trains coming in and out of DP World have meant our railway gates are stuck down far more often. DP World is building more railway capacity which will mean the gates are going to be coming down a lot lot more in the near future.

Much of the ‘slots’ DP World use are controlled by Network Rail, rumoured promises of night time freight seems to have fallen away. We have all seen blue light vehicles ‘stuck at the gates’ and we need a well thought out plan to mitigate the busy daylight hours movements before someone is injured or worse.

This site will become a gateway to lobby Network Rail and DP World so they know the impact of getting stuck at the gates is having on a growing East Tilbury and Linford community.
